Is it mandatory to perform preventive maintenance?

Post by ritu800 »

Preventive maintenance may be mandatory, depending on the sector and the regulations in force in each country or city.

In some cases, companies choose to offer a russian girl whatsapp number maintenance service on their own, to ensure the good quality of the installed equipment.

For example, a car company may offer an annual re-check plan during the first few years to keep a car's engine in perfect condition and extend its useful life.

However, in other cases, there may be regulations that require certain companies to offer or carry out a series of maintenance services from time to time.

An example of this is the RITE (Regulation of thermal installations in buildings), a series of standards that determines each story, the air conditioning or climate control equipment must be checked.

This type of regulation has several objectives that coincide with the advantages of carrying out preventive maintenance - greater safety, hygiene, greater energy efficiency... and must be offered by the installation company as a form of guarantee.

Types of preventive maintenance
There are many companies that carry out preventive maintenance and they do it in different ways. Mainly, there are three types of preventive maintenance that are carried out on a regular basis:

Scheduled maintenance
Scheduled maintenance is carried out after a certain amount of use of the equipment, or after a certain period of time.

For example, in the automotive industry, scheduled car check-ups are carried out once a year or after 10,000 km, whichever comes first. They usually include changing oil and consumables, and a quick look at the engine.

This type of maintenance is designed to perform a superficial check on the equipment or device, and to change consumable elements such as oils or parts that tend to wear out.

Predictive maintenance
Predictive maintenance uses multiple sensors and data collection to dynamically determine when a device needs one or more corrections.

This is essential for critical equipment where it must be continuously monitored to determine if any element is failing.

The objective of predictive maintenance is to prevent major breakdowns before they occur, with the difference that they may be necessary unexpectedly, and the installation company must adapt to be able to resolve the problem as soon as possible.

For example, DHW (domestic hot water) systems usually include sensors that allow us to estimate whether the appliance is working at full capacity. These types of sensors are what allow us to know when the appliance will need preventive repair.
