Along with the first screenshot of the game is some features that are supposed to get people excited about it. This is the perfect example to let what we all believe in and have thought in our heads over and over out of the bag. Lets stand up for what we believe in and not be interested in this game. How can you be? The "new features" are all evolutionary predictable new features. ALL of them have been done before in other, better games. This game brings nothing new to the table. It is the perfect example of a game designed not by game designers, but by marketing departments and executives following formulas.
There have been many articles and discussions about the videogame phone number data industry having two possible paths to go down, one following the way of the comic book industry, and one the way of the film industry. If games bred by executives and market formulas like this one are successful, there will be more and more of them and they will extinguish creativity. There is no Fox Searchlight or Miramax for videogames. There are countless genres yet to be made, but they will never see the light of day if people just make the same old games. What I'm saying here isn't anything new, this is stuff lots of people who really care about the videogame industry think of all the time.
They all complain about the flood of WW2 shooters and "me-too" games. They all praise games like Katamari, Spore, and Indigo Prophecy for bringing something new to the industry. Are you one of them? If you are its time to stand up! Its time we get together and do something about what we have all been sitting in our chairs complaining about. Point out how stupid and repetitive Call Of Duty 3 is. Laugh at people who buy it. Criticize gaming news sites for even posting articles about this game that no one wants. This game that is hurting our industry! Let this be the example… Let people know that if they buy this game, they are taking the industry to the way of the comics. Nobody wants E3 to become Comic Con.
