Compatible Metaverses
Given current trends, every internet company is aiming to become a “metaverse.” However, the reality is that there is unlikely to be one metaverse that rules them all. Just as there is no single online game, there will be no single metaverse — all online applications will likely launch their own metaverses, different games will continue to exist, and a huge variety of companies will likely create metaverses to solve their specific problems. However, if each user subscribes to multiple metaverses, then their creators will have an incentive to interoperate.
For example, imagine that you created an avatar for your job, and you probably want to use it on your social media profile and when you play an online game. Or if you bought a hat, you want that hat to be wearable in all metaverses.
Much of what we have in the physical world bahrain mobile database will exist in the metaverse — and that market is already weird. According to Forbes, someone spent $450,000 in the metaverse to own “virtual property” next to Snoop Dogg, and many smart people are puzzled by the emergence of a $40 billion NFT market. More noticeable — though still digital — is the rise of in-app purchases, with many users spending thousands of dollars on digital T-shirts for their in-game characters.
If our online avatars become central to our identities as we spend more time in the virtual world, the amount we're willing to spend on digital clothing and jewelry will only grow, and brands like Adidas, with its "into the metaverse" line, will likely facilitate this by selling physical clothing and the right to wear it inside the metaverse.
