Revision of Search Quality Guidelines

Post by metoc15411 »

On July 28, 2022, Google revised its search quality evaluation guidelines.
The search quality evaluation guidelines are instructions used by external search quality evaluators commissioned by Google to evaluate the quality of search results. Originally
an internal document, it is now publicly available.

The main changes in this revision are that the expression YMYL (Your Money Your Life) has been changed to "harmful topics,"
and that the topics for which Google has set strict evaluation criteria have been broadened to include "topics that may harm users" regardless of genre.

Until now, it was common to emphasize the quality of content when dealing with YMYL (medical, financial, health, legal) topics.
However, in this revision, the YMYL genre has become "harmful topics" and is expressed in a broader sense.
And Google has stated that it does not only apply YMYL to some topics, but also has strict evaluation criteria for "topics that may harm users."

When amateurs publish articles about YMYL austria whatsapp data or topics that may be included in it, it is essential to have a supervisor or to get a backlink.
Otherwise, it will not be evaluated.

(6) Helpful Content Updates
The Helpful Content Update "highly rewards helpful content created with a user-first approach and downgrades SEO-focused content created with a search engine-first approach."

For more details, please see this LC blog post: " What is a Helpful Content Update? Beware of useless content sites! "

This Helpful Content Update was initially only available for content written in English.
As with the Proct Review Update, it was thought that it would take time to make the English version available to all languages, but on December 5, 2022 (same time), the Helpful Content Update was introduced to all languages, including Japanese.

(7) [Google] Releases list of search ranking systems
On November 21, 2022, Google published a document listing 19 systems used for search rankings.
First, there was a change in terminology.
The name was changed from "update" to "system.
" "Helpful Content Update" will become "Helpful Content System."
