JUCESP is a state agency responsible for commercial registrations in the state. It is affiliated with the Secretariat of Economic Development and aims to align its work with public policies for economic development, streamlining bureaucracy, and encouraging entrepreneurship. JUCESP has 38 Regional Offices and 36 Service Stations.

In 2021, JUCESP set a record for business registrations of all sizes, with 288,502 new CNPJs registered in the state of São Paulo. This was the highest number in the agency's historical data since 1998.

About the People's Bank

Banco do Povo Paulista (BPP) operates throughout the state of São Paulo, with shop more than 500 municipalities operating a decentralized microcredit policy. Last year, BPP disbursed R$315.7 million in more than 19,000 transactions.
