Employees are the most important audience, as they serve as ambassadors for the organization to customers. It is important for employees to be calm and well-informed in order to better communicate outside the organization. With employees, you should:
Share information regularly, which is visible and easily accessible: it can be whatsapp number list physical (ie posters) or virtual (ie email, Facebook, intranet, or channels such as WhatsApp , SMS or RCS ).
Explain how certain decisions were made (ie limiting travel/meetings, remote work).
Report regularly (every couple of days), providing timely information rather than waiting to have all the information.
Communicate proactively with customers
Customers are a much larger and more diverse group than employees, which is why they require a different communication strategy. With them, you should:
Communicate proactively and focus on what is important to the customer. For example: a supermarket can communicate special cleaning/sanitation measures that are being taken; a bank can communicate branch closures and invite customers to make transactions on a mobile app.
