But it is still FSTEC that is responsible for the main functions of certifying software for its security, and, of course, in the general spectrum of software, it is the OS that occupies a key position.

Although certification of operating systems by FSTEC is generally not mandatory, it is always necessary when it comes to using such products in areas that are critical to the viability of the country, primarily government information systems, IT in government agencies, the military-industrial complex, defense, law enforcement and security agencies.
