If you don't have a goal, how can you determine whether your resources were used well or not? The mistake many make is to consider the number of links earned as a standalone goal.

For example, this might be “get links from 10 unique domains every month.”

There's just one problem, and that's that you're not taking into account the quality of the links you're earning or the fact that not all links have the same level of authority (a point you can explore in more detail in our guide to PageRank ).

Setting goals for your prospecting efforts shouldn't be cambodia telegram data limited to just the number of links earned. You may want to consider:

The authority of the links (you can use the Authority Score to determine this).
Thematic relevance of the links.
The referral traffic that these links bring.
The impact of these links on your organic rankings.
So an example of a solid goal for your prospecting might be “to obtain quality, topically relevant links that increase organic visibility and fill the link gap you’ve identified.”

Be sure to set goals so you can measure the impact and success of your efforts.
