According to a report by Ebanx, the number of e-commerce users in Latin America grew by more than 30%. They highlight that in Colombia, for example, the percentage of users using e-commerce went from 43% in January 2020 to 55% in December of the same year. In other words, there was an annual growth of approximately 29%. In other countries in the region, the growth was similar:
Peru increased to 51%.
Mexico by 60% in the same period.
And Brazil increased only 25% initially. But by December it reached 61%
Argentina and Chile already stood out for having a good base of e-commerce users. The former is the country in the region with the most digital citizens for a total of 68%, and its growth germany mobile numbers list was limited to only 5%.
The second has a lower average; only 61% of buyers are online and during the quarantine, its market share increased by just 6%. The largest ecommerce markets in the region: Brazil and Mexico are leading the way
The state of e-commerce in 2021 looks promising for the region. According to Ebanx's study of the region's markets with the highest volume, the ones that stand out are Brazil with sales of more than 103.7 billion dollars and Mexico with 28.1 billion dollars. The list continues with Colombia ($13.3 billion) and Chile ($8.7 billion). Overall, the e-commerce market in Latin America reached 200 billion dollars.
