White points to the importance of security and privacy in AI, especially when it comes to the possibility of employees training models based on someone else’s data, which could open the door to lawsuits. “There’s a big risk that people could copy data without permission,” she says. “I’m not saying generative AI is bad. In fact, I’m a big fan of it. But I am saying you have to be very conscious of where your data is coming from and the decisions you’re making based on that information.”
