She is only 28 years old, but Blanca Rodríguez from León has already shown that – despite her youth – she has very clear ideas, especially when it comes to educating children. The young woman, a graduate in Business Administration and Management, is committed to the multiple intelligences that neuropsychologist Howard Gardner defended in the early 80s, but from a more modern perspective: with technology as the main protagonist when it comes to learning, even from the earliest ages . From this combination of ideas comes Smile and Learn , a mobile app that she founded with her partner Víctor Sánchez and that has captivated even the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). In fact, last year this institution awarded the young woman the “Innovators Under 35 Award”, one of the most valued awards by Spanish entrepreneurs because it recognizes the work of young people in developing projects with the capacity to improve the world.

But what exactly does Smile and Learn propose? Fundamentally, learning rcs data iran play. How? Through games, interactive stories and educational activities that delve into the development of the eight intelligences defended by Gardner: linguistic, musical, logical-mathematical, spatial, bodily-kinesthetic, intrapersonal, interpersonal and naturalist. “Our goal at Smile and Learn is to improve learning and entertainment on digital devices thanks to Big Data analysis. Our product is designed to reconnect parents with their children’s education ,” explains Rodríguez in an interview with Diario de León.

In it, she also states that new technologies have opened up great possibilities for learning from childhood, although she believes that the approach must change: “it is not enough to equip schools with digital whiteboards, tablets or computers. Addressing true innovation involves offering quality educational materials .” For this reason, the educational proposals that appear in the app have been endorsed by a group of educators who, together with illustrators, programmers, marketing experts and advisors, make up the Smile and Learn team.

Before launching into the world of entrepreneurship, Rodríguez graduated in Business Management and Administration, and worked with the investment teams of two American venture capital funds: Founder Collective and Rough Draft Ventures. Currently, he is studying for a Master's degree in Business Management at Sloam Business School and is specializing in entrepreneurship and innovation.
