More and more is being written using artificial intelligence (AI). As with image manipulation, the question is how to test the quality, how to find the sources, and how to see how much of the text is simply speculation and extrapolation (hallucination). AI has many problems.
data theft
One of the main problems with AI is that the sources are not indicated. Much content is now simply stolen without the author being indicated. Large language models such as ChatGPT are said to saudi arabia rcs data have read hundreds of thousands of books. in the millions of documents. The largest library in the world (Library of Congress) consists of 39 million books. ChatGPT has therefore only "absorbed" a hundredth of that, but that number could soon increase. There are already lawsuits about data theft .
hallucination
AI often interpolates and says things in an authoritative voice that it has no idea about. The official name is hallucination. An article on The Register even says that AI is harmful and should be destroyed. Why? ChatGPT even invented sources. The Register journalist had taken a test and was interested in his own person. The AI claimed that he was dead. He asked for sources. The machine even invented URLs to support the claim.
