Once you have redirected all relevant URLs, you now need to verify your new website.

Verifying your new domain with Google Search Console (GSC) notifies Google of the domain name change.

Create a property for your new domain
Use the Google Search Console change of address tool
To get started, sign in to your existing Google Search Console account .

Click on the properties dropdown on the top left. And choose " Add Property ".

This will take you through the process of setting up the SGC for your new domain.

In the next step, we'll use the Change Address tool. For it to work, both Google Search Console properties (the old domain and the new one) must be set to "Domain" and not "URL Prefix".

Once you've set up ownership for your new cayman islands phone number database domain, switch back to ownership for your old domain. If you don't have a GSC ownership for your old domain, you can skip this step.

From within your old domain's property in GSC, click on " Settings ". Then, click on " Change Address ".

Next, under "Update Google", you will have an option to enter the address of the new website. Click on the " Select new site " dropdown and choose the domain property you just set up for your new website.

When you're done, click " Validate & Update ".

Google will then attempt to validate that you have implemented the necessary redirects before indicating a change of address. This is important. Using the Change of Address tool is not a substitute for implementing redirects.
