When it comes to forms on the visible part of a landing page or your company's blog, for example, you should consider adapting everything you have regarding the GDPR.
No matter what your industry is, all companies that have contacts in the European Union must adapt their forms to the GDPR and they must include:
Consent checkbox: a box or field to expressly request consent
It is also necessary to clearly explain how this data will be used.
A link to the privacy policies and acceptance of the policies, which cannot be pre-checked by default.
1 Create your checkboxes
It is very important for you to know that the General Data Protection Regulation requires companies to keep proof that their contacts have given their full consent to send them SMS or email marketing campaigns.
This approval can be generated when your contacts check a box on the forms on your website.
In Brevo's forms, it is possible to include different checkboxes so that your contacts can mark the consents they want to approve. For example, they can choose whether they want to qatar telegram data receive your product messages or if they only want to receive information from your blog.
2 Edit the descriptive text of the fields
It is very important to explain clearly and concisely how customers' personal data will be used.
That's why I stress the importance of having GDPR-compliant options on your registration forms, i.e. multiple checkboxes for permission, as well as editable sections explaining how and why you will use certain data.
Make sure this text is very clear and describes the reason why you are collecting information. The text should be different for each checkbox, and should explain the marketing activity you will be performing.
For example, if you are collecting data from your contacts so that you can send them advertising messages, you need to explain what advertising activities you will be carrying out.
I also recommend that you explicitly request consent from your contacts in the field title. You can include “I agree to receive information for…”.
