Just as you can have multiple properties connected to the same Google Analytics account, you can also have multiple dashboards. The widgets within the dashboard are also highly customizable. With so many tools at your disposal, it can be difficult to know where to start. We recommend starting with our beginner's guide to Google Analytics before proceeding.
Here's how to create a custom dashboard in Google Analytics:
Sign in to your Google Analytics account, expand the dbtodata Personalization menu on the left, then click Dashboard.
Click the Create button in the main view.

3. Choose Blank from the drop-down menu, type the name you want for the new dashboard, and click Create Dashboard.

On the blank page (literally), you can now start managing and customizing widgets to create your own custom dashboard. As mentioned, each widget is a mini-report that will appear on your dashboard.
4. Click +Add Widget to add a new widget to your dashboard.
5. Choose your preferred data visualization option (timeline, geographic map, table, etc.)
6. Add all the metrics you want to display in that particular widget.
7. Save the widget and repeat all the steps for all the widgets you want to add, until you have a complete dashboard.

To create an effective dashboard from scratch in Google Analytics, you will need to know how to navigate through the many metrics and filters. This may seem like a complex task, as it requires advanced knowledge of reports and widgets.
A more intuitive approach is to use our pre-built dashboard template and, of course, Google Data Studio connectors.
