IV Cloud Day Valencia. EuroCloud Spain once again arouses great interest in the Cloud

Cloud Day Valencia 2012 has managed to attract the attention of the Valencian technological and business community, consolidating the trajectory of the three previous Cloud Days held in Madrid and Barcelona. More than seventy attendees attended the EuroCloud Spain event, which was intended to bring Cloud Computing and SaaS models closer to companies and users.

The free event was hosted by exceptional hosts. Pilar Monroy, member of the Board of Directors of EuroCloud Spain, and José Millet, director of the Ideas Institute of the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) were in charge of welcoming the attendees. IT also enabled the participation of Maurice van der Woude, General Manager of EuroCloud Europe, who was present through a video made for the occasion.
Following the reception, Ricard Martinez Martinez, President of the Spanish Association of Privacy Professionals and Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Valencia, gave a presentation on European regulations related to the Cloud, “which allow companies to contract with complete confidence.” For Professor Martinez, “the user of the system has the obligation to choose a reliable Cloud provider.”
Next, the round table “Cloud Computing as a lever for economic recovery”, moderated by Pilar Monroy, Member of BI and Homologations at EuroCloud Spain, brought together experts from the sector who analysed how this technology is a sure bet for boosting business growth. According to Vicente Serrano, General Manager of DATATEC Group, “everything will be Cloud Computing” in the future. José Manuel Bernabéu Aubán, Professor at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, expressed a very similar opinion, stating that “it is an opportunity for all types of companies to get out of the crisis.
