Who does it affect?
Companies that obtain data from any terminal equipment receiving the service through data storage and recovery devices ( cookies and similar technologies – local shared objects, flash cookies8, web beacons, bugs9, etc. – or others such as fingerprinting techniques, hereinafter cookies ), understanding the recipient of the service to be the natural or oman phone number data legal person who uses, whether or not for professional reasons, an information society service.
In compliance with the obligations set forth in the second section of article 22 of Law 34/2002, of July 11, on information society services and electronic commerce (hereinafter, LSSI), in relation to the GDPR and Organic Law 3/2018, of December 5, on Data Protection and Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD), on the occasion of the review by the European Data Protection Committee (EDPC) in May 2020 in Guidelines 05/2020 on consent.
The Guide on the use of Cookies published by the AEPD on which this new development has been prepared is a guideline for compliance with Guidelines 05/2020.
