Mirroring and Matching (Pacing): Subtly matching another person's non-verbal cues can create a sense of connection. This includes mirroring their posture, gestures, breathing patterns, or even their rate of speech and tone of voice. Do this naturally and subtly; it's about alignment, not imitation.

Finding Common Ground: Look for shared interests, experiences, values, or even a common challenge. People naturally gravitate towards those they perceive as similar to themselves. Ask open-ended questions that encourage sharing and help uncover these commonalities.

Authenticity and Genuineness: Rapport cannot be faked. Be yourself, be sincere, and let your genuine interest in the other person shine through. People can sense insincerity.
