A considerable amount of time has passed since the release of AirPods, and during this time there has been only one major update - the release of the original AirPods Pro. Even the appearance of AirPods Max, not intended for the mass consumer, did not significantly affect the market. This spain mobile database primarily due to their special design and, of course, high price. New versions of AirPods, be it the second or third generation, not to mention the supposed AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods Pro 2 with a USB-C connector, could not change the picture significantly. The public met all these new products quite coldly, if not to say calmly. Apple's management took into account the interests of its audience and came to the conclusion that it was necessary to radically revise its entire line of headphones.
What's new in AirPods 4?
According to information received from Bloomberg, Apple is preparing to update all three AirPods lines - "classic", Pro and Max. In order to avoid mixing releases, they will be released in stages. The company's main goal is to rethink the entire line of headphones.
The first to hit the market will be AirPods 4, which will replace two previous models at once: AirPods 2, which are still in production, and AirPods 3. The appearance of the new Apple headphones is scheduled for 2024, and they will be presented in two versions at once. It is important to note that the company does not intend to turn any of them into an analogue of AirPods Pro, but they will differ in both price and functionality.
The main difference between the more expensive AirPods 4 and the more affordable ones will be the support for active noise cancellation (ANC). Previously, Apple used ANC only in the AirPods Pro and AirPods Max models. This decision had a dual purpose: firstly, ANC served as a means of distinguishing the top AirPods models, and secondly, the Cupertino believed that in-ear headphones cannot provide the same high noise cancellation efficiency as earbuds and closed-type headphones.
