I could tell you that we need to review the DNA of the companies that practice it . This is the case for some. But that's a different story and it's not my specialty. Other structures support companies towards more eco-responsible ways of doing things and they do it very well.
Once again, I'm going to talk to you about what I know and what I master: communication. And not just any communication! To avoid greenwashing, I see only one solution: adopt ethical communication .
Act rather than talk
Today, communication channels are omnipresent: social networks, articles on the internet, press, advertising, newsletters, etc. Talking to your community is not complicated in 2020. I would be in no position to tell you that this is a bad technique. I spend my days creating content. I am convinced by the power of this technique. If it is used well.
By being able to speak very easily, many companies that are fans of greenwashing communicate but do not act . What if we did the opposite? Before communicating about an action, wouldn't it be better to have carried it out, for real? Well, I don't know, maybe ( big up to those who will have the reference ).
If you want to show your future customers your involvement and your eco-responsible values, take concrete action . Be present on the ground, get involved with other organizations. Then talk about it to your community.
For months, I have written down in my idea box: talk about my eco-responsible business cards and explain my transition to a more solidarity bank. I procrastinated on both points so I still haven't addressed the subject because my words would be hollow. Act. Then talk.
