Introduction to Affiliate Marketing for Businesses | SiteMap 24

Post by ayshakhatun3113 »

To conclude our series of programs dedicated to Display Advertising, today we are going to talk about affiliate marketing. In short, this is a digital marketing tactic that allows companies to place their ads on partner websites related to the products or services they want to promote and pay only based on the results , namely through a commission on the leads obtained or the value of the sales made. In other words, while in banners and remarketing the payment is made for each click on the ads, in the case of affiliate programs it is more common for the user to also perform the desired action after clicking.

THE FOUR PARTS OF AN AFFILIATE PROGRAM
An affiliate program typically consists of the following components:

Advertisers , i.e. companies that want to promote their services or products
Affiliate sites that accept to display ads
An affiliate network that acts as an intermediary between advertisers cryptocurrency data and affiliates through an online platform that allows monitoring of campaign performance, paying commissions and producing reports.
And finally, visitors who browse the site, click on the ad and are expected to take the requested action (buy a product, fill out a form, etc.)
In affiliate marketing, advertisers define the commission they are willing to pay the affiliate and the affiliate network receives a percentage of that commission.

ADVANTAGES OF AFFILIATE MARKETING
This is a widely used and useful tactic when the objective is to obtain sales , expressions of interest or increase a contact database . From the point of view of advertising companies, the main advantages are the following:

Great value for money and zero waste as you only pay when you get results
Fixed costs – the commission to be paid is defined by companies before the campaign is launched
Increasing profits – the better the campaign works, the more affiliates will be interested in promoting it, which potentially increases the chances of conversion/sale
Ongoing testing, monitoring and optimization , with a view to continuously improving the affiliate program
And finally, free visibility – as you don’t pay per ad impression or even per click, even if you don’t get the results you’re looking for, you still get exposure for free.
That’s all for today’s SiteMap. In the coming weeks, we’ll move on to another area of digital marketing intervention: social media management . Should your company have a Facebook account? Should it be on Twitter or LinkedIn? And how should you be present? What content strategy should you use? What voice should your brand have? Should you invest in advertising? And how can you evaluate performance? To find out the answers to these and many other questions, don’t miss the next SiteMap programs.
