To view, share, create and comment on YouTube content, you need a Google account.

Visit YouTube and click on “Sign in” in the top right corner. You will be taken to the Google sign-in page. Click on “Create account”:

You will be presented with two options to create an account: “For myself” or “To manage my business.” We suggest you select the second option, but we will also guide you through creating a brand channel from either option.

Either way, the procedure is similar. 2. Create a new channel
If you've already created or have a Google account, go to YouTube to create your channel. The process will vary slightly depending on whether you chose a personal or business account:

After you enter the brand account name, you may be asked to verify your identity via text message or voice call. If that happens, just type in the code.

Once you verify your Brand Account, you'll be taken to your new channel's dashboard.


Create a brand channel from a business account
If you chose to create an account to manage your business, the steps to create your channel will be very similar, but the screens will look different. Below is a visual guide to help you make sure you don't get lost in the process.

After logging into YouTube and signing in with your account, as in the previous case, select the user icon at the top right of the screen, and click on the “Create a channel” option.

If you remember the previous procedure, you are probably wondering: what type of channel is best for me and why don't I have these options from a personal account? We will answer you as briefly as possible: it is advisable that you choose the branded channel (or one with a custom name) because as a personal channel you will have limitations.

The reason you can't select the channel type when doing so from a personal account is that personal accounts often already have a channel created by default . That personal channel is linked to the account, so in order to create a new channel, you need to create a brand account that will be linked to the channel you're about to create.

Select the Brand Account option and check that the following screen appears, right after clicking on the “Use a custom name” option.

Once you type in the name for your new channel, select the “I understand that this is creating a new Google account” box, and click the “Create” button, the following page will appear:
